I'm quite chuffed with my construction too - I scanned maps and printed them onto watercolour paper, burned all the edges (for that old, travel worn look...) and set about binding all that together with painted satay sticks and silk thread...I wasn't sure if I could make it work, but am very excited to say it works a treat! Plenty of room for all the other artists to add lots of stuff to all the pages and still sit flat as a book.

All boxed up in it's own special box for it's journey...It's off to Donna in Brisbane. I am fascinated to see how my little book will look when it comes home!
You can see what we're all up to as the collaboration progresses by visiting http://alteredbookcollaboration09.blogspot.com/ At this stage, there are a few of the artists themes on there, and hopefully some photos soon!
I'm off to clean up the phenomenal mess I've made while creating this treasure...I know there's a bench under there somewhere!

That looks great Tracey! Very cool little project. Great Idea the altered book club, love it!
Fleur, It's so much fun! I am looking forward to receiving the first book from Tamara (she's from Rocky) sometime soon - Fractured Fairytales is her theme...I have no idea what I'm going to do with that one...but hope some inspiration strikes when I have it in my hands!
