More From Bush Christmas

Bush Christmas finished yesterday. Here's a few more images to share with you - in case you weren't able to visit yourself (maybe because you live in Timbuktu, or Machu Picchu or Mataranka!)

It was a treat to meet the lovely Stacey of Koolaman Designs - she and her sister create lovely silver jewellery pieces and hand stamp treasured words into them - names of those precious to you, dates that are important, quotes to inspire...
Beautiful pieces, beautifully presented.

That's Stacey in the black dress, chatting with another of the Bush Christmas exhibitors.

And Stacey has a lovely Mum, who kindly offered to take my picture - to prove that I did actually get there! (I'm so sad I can't recall her name! We had a lovely chat, and she really is the nicest lady - raised a couple of very clever daughters, too!)

Thanks go to Liz, Jenny and all their Bush Christmas helpers. Every year they do a stellar job of promoting rural and remote Australian artists and artisans, and the exhibition never fails to impress!

I used to live at Mataranka! And I made it to Bush Christmas this year and thought it was wonderful.
Thanks to them all, esp the person who made the yummy biscuits that I gobbled....

Wow Chris!! We visited Mataranka this year - I love the way it sounds as you say it!

Bush Christmas is so not a good place to go if you're dieting though! All that gourmet stuff is just delicious!

Florintines, florintines, florintine, need I say more! Mataranka was so different in the early 80's, dirt road, very few amenities, loads of fun and great community spirit. Very isolated then. I loved it.
